My first Moly page

Here is my first ever Moly page... my sign-in page. One thing I have learned already is that this paper doesn't play nice with watercolor. I usually work in a moly with watercolor paper. I guess I may have to venture into new ways to add color. Working on my portrait now and then ready to send on. And the adventure begins.

Yes, I like gouache and it doesn't play nice either, water based is not so good sometimes, but this is wonderful, I can't see any problems with it at all!

I also found out today the papaer of a large sketchbook is not for watercolours(( Will post my first piece these days....oh.

That's great!

Markers work well, but with lots of bleed through so back pages are useless. Colored pencils work really well :)

Also, water soluble colored pencils.

Fantastic combination. In addition to what others have mentioned, you can add a dab of liquid soap to break the surface tension with watercolor.

Very nice watercolor!
I know very well how hard to work with this paper, and you did it great!

Mellisa, thanks for your tip - I'm going to try it!
