Here's Looking at You

Here is my entry in my own book. Done in ink with a little bit of Crayola marker from my kids set for the eyes. This is going to be fun. I have already received Melissa's book and it looks great. Now, before I start let me make sure i am accurate here... I am drawing a self portrait as well as a portrait of Melissa on two of her pages. Correct? I don't typically do portraits so this will be a learning experience for me. Chris, this will be on it's way tomorrow.

Wow, for not doing a lot of portraits this is just wonderful. There's something very "Kris Kringle" about the twinkle of the blue eyes. You are correct, a self portrait and one of the owner using two pages. Feel free to split pages as you like. The most obvious would be one per page...but I'm hoping we'll see some other creative ideas pop up.

That looks so lovely! (= the technique is great and the eyes are vivid) Well-done!

Indeed, for someone that doesn't do too many portraits, I am very impressed.
