10,000 Robins come marching over the hill...

I'll send this one off this week to Marina (I am sure she has enough). Should I send it to someone else who hasn't had this moleskine?

Melissa Monsterised

I look a little frumpy, but hey, as long as Melissa looks ok, that's all I care about. Very cheeky.
I have an idea for Robin, he won't be completely monsterised.

I need to work fast...

So I have noticed with the Portraits I need to work like I did when I used to do life drawing, fast and not thinking too much, and generally, I have a better attitude to it, and I am much happier with the result.

So!
Here is the first of the three I have. Marty as a raccoon style monster. I am very happy with his expression.

Rebel Papa had a golden beard

I started this entry as a monoprint, and added a little detail with gouache. I think it is a little difficult to see the gold gouache on the scan... but it is there. I just have to wait about a week to be sure it is all dry, then off to Rémi.

Little foxes

Benconservato's sketchbook for mx portraits 1.

My entry for Emma's moleskine, with a dip pen and ink. Whenever I think of Emma's art I think of little foxes, but these ones have escaped. (That's me on the cover of the book). You can see a close-up here.

Yoda's moleskine now in Australia and soon to go to Paris...

Yes, this molekine is going for the round the world trip, it is going to have an east coast experience, then back to the city of lights... I wish I could go with it.
It had a little adventure this moleskine, it was sent here with my trunks, as I just missed it when I left for Australia. but now it is done, and in the post on Monday.

Olya's got herself a polar bear!

Olya Portrait-Moly

Once I finished Ann-D's moly, it was the holidays, and since I didn't really have a holiday, i had some spare time on my hands, so I planned out Olya's portrait in advance. I enjoyed working in the bigger format, I have realised of late, that I am not really a "drawing little" kind of beast, but I can do if I am forced. I hope you like your polar bear, which is obviously me in disguise. I like being in disguise.

The Dark Side

Someone watched too many Batman movies lately.
This would have to be one of the strangest things to come out of my brush /pen from where I originally started and what I intended. Creating is a strange process sometimes.
