Superama!

This was surprisingly hard work. I didn't risk painting dies or watercolor on this to color it. Golly it's hard to do water media on this paper. I keep a book just for testing media. I was able to use some masking fluid for the glasses. Never used that stuff before. Anyhoo......hope you like it, Rama.

Very Cool Marty.

I agree it's difficult using the water media on these books. I have a test book as well. I've found the Prisma color markers work pretty well and the gray scales look like watercolor. Only problem with these markers is there is heavy bleedthrough and I hate to do that to people's books.

When Melissa needs a moly I am not slow. It's hip, Hip, HIP, and away it goes (Underdog reference). The book is on its way.

Thanks 3Mdub.

Marty... I have no idea what to say... I think you must be the king of the Moly... so now it is Batman, that is a long way from the Racoon suit.

The cartoonist came out in me this past week. A long way from he abstract stuff I did when this whole party started. You know that feeling, doing what you know in order to do your best in a reasonable time. We all want to treat our friends to our best effort. The pressure has not changed since we started. This time I was facing that stupid moly paper and shaky hands. Hard to ink nice long lines with shaky hands. I would place my brush, take a deep breath, let it out slowly and do a little teeny line using 2 or three hairs of the brush.

I don't want to tell you all of the fussing about color. I'm not getting into it except to say that I tried so many things in my test book, and finally gave up. Color and shading, for me has to go down quickly and fresh. You can see that I only used 3-4 strokes to do the gray shadow. You can also see that the paper, from one millimeter to the next takes the ink differently. Two passes of water and the paper peels. I thinks the image turned out pretty fresh looking, and easily done. It was not easily done.

The best paint so far is this acrylic paint I have found, but it's acrylic and plasticy. It goes on this paper very well.

I'm wearing the raccoon suit under the Batman outfit. Warm! I am very pleased with my self-portrait. It really makes me laugh.

Thanks all. I'm having fun.

I really like this, but especially how you've drawn the eyes/glasses. There is so much character and expression there!
